Devil’s Canyon Brewing Company, located in the heart of the San Francisco bay area peninsula, produces award-winning, handcrafted beer and root beer centered on the most premium ingredients. Brewed in Belmont, and delivered fresh to 33 (and growing) counties throughout California.

The brewery’s name is derived from the original Spanish name for the City of Belmont. Prior to the 1780’s the canyon portion of Belmont was known as “la Canada del Diablo” or Devil’s Canyon. Since opening their doors in 2001, Devil’s Canyon Brewery has won over 28 awards for their craft beers and received the 2009 “People’s Choice” award at the San Francisco International Beer Festival.

Deadicated Amber Ale is a rich amber ale with a well-balanced bouquet of hops and malt. Our Amber Ale is a medium-bodied ale with a beautiful tawny color, a nice lace head, and a cascade finish.

California Sunshine Rye IPA- A moderately strong Pale Ale with an assertive hop bitterness, a toasty, bready malt mouth-feel and a grassy, dry finish.We were not trying to be revolutionary in 2002; we just wanted to brew an interesting beer style using extra ingredients we had on hand. The resulting contribution to craft beer’s renaissance was this paradigm shifting style of a rye-centric India Pale Ale. At 85 IBU’s, California Sunshine Rye IPA is exceptionally well balanced with assertive hop bitterness, a toasty and bready malt mouth-feel, and a grassy, dry finish. Enjoy our uniquely original re-imagining of a traditional unfiltered English style IPA while pondering being the craft beer polymath you surely are. (Yes we re-used the old logo, it seemed a shame to let such a beautiful design go to waste)

Image California Sunshine is a golden colored, light bodied ale with low hop aroma and bitterness. This beer is exceptional during the warm summer months.

RETIRED IN 2009

HellRaiser Hefeweizen: A Traditional Bavarian Hefeweizen. This beer has hints of lemon, apple and clove with a nice dry wheat finish. Excellent as an everyday beer, exceptional as a hot weather thirst quencher!
