Beer Friday – February 22nd Doors open at 6pm (5:30 for Beer Club Members)
(No Growler Fills after 6pm Please)

We can definitely not positively confirm with unquestioning absolute certainty that this is the last Beer Friday at our current location . . .

But it might be . . .

Over 11 years of watching people in the parking lot on their cell-phones with one hand in the air saying, “Did you find it? Can you see me?”

On the last Friday of the month we open our doors to the public at 6pm (Beer Club Members: 5:30pm) and have 2 or 3 live bands.

There is no cover charge. Your first drink of the night - which includes a pint glass you keep - is $10.00. (Bring it back to future events and Beer Fridays - Reduce, Reuse!). After you have a pint glass, drinks are $6.00 from 6pm-9pm, $5 from 9pm-11pm, and $6 from 11pm till close. Food, Root Beer and Water is also available.

$1.00 of every beer sale goes to our “Cheers! For Charity” program recipient for that month.

We are family friendly and you are welcome to bring your kids but please keep an eye on the little ones!

If you or an acquaintance own a bar, restaurant or establishment where our local award-winning beer and root beer isn’t served – talk to us! We’d love to do a tasting and see what styles fit best at your location.

Thank you for continuing to support the locations that carry our products!

Devil’s Canyon Brewery “Cheers! for Charity” Program

Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: Cheers for CharityWe have always had amazing support from our community and have always tried to give back as much as we could to local schools, charities and noble causes.

As the brewery continues to grow so does the number of fans that show up for Beer Friday.  It can get crowded, what to do?

After much head scratching, night sweating and spreadsheet manipulating the only solution we could come up with that was viable was to raise our prices at Beer Friday. But it’s not about the money – it’s about crowd control. So we introduced a new program: Cheers! for Charity.

Since the April 2011 Beer Friday, $1.00 from each pint sold at the brewery started going to a (preferably local) charitable organization or non-profit group of our choosing.

This month’s donations will be going to: ~ Marine Science Institute~

image010The Marine Science Institute was founded in 1970, around the time that the issue of water resources was becoming a major concern for many Bay Area inhabitants. The Institute's philosophy was founded on the idea that putting students in direct physical contact with their local bay environment will help cultivate their natural sense of curiosity while enriching their understanding of science and fostering a responsibility to protect their environment.

The Institute's mission is to cultivate a responsibility for the natural environment and our human communities through interdisciplinary science education. We achieve this goal through innovative marine science education programs that:

Place students of all ages in direct contact with the natural environment;

Emphasize the interdependence of all living things, their connection to the physical environment, and the special responsibilities of humans to the environment;

Facilitate active learning through the use of observation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in a cooperative setting, and

Instill confidence, encourage involvement, and inspire accomplishment by providing positive role models.

Apart from being able to keep a couple different styles in your fridge, wouldn’t you much rather have someone bring a growler of beer or root beer to a social event instead of salad or meatloaf?

Please keep us in mind as your Spring and Summer event calendars begins to fill up! Growlers make GREAT gifts!

Help Wanted! Seriously, Got a Minute to Let Loose Your Inner Poet?

As more and more craft beer hits the store shelves we have started to see retailers using the Beer Advocate and Rate Beer websites to print out “score sheets” and we have encountered stores that are reluctant to pick up a product they are unfamiliar with unless it has a score. So, we could really use a hand . . .

We have never been huge fans of beer rating systems – you drink what you like, and a lot of you like our products. Sweet! That’s awesome and works for us.

So we turn to you – would you, could you – take a moment to register and leave your reviews for our products?

It would be a HUGE help in the marketplace. Please be honest and don’t inflate scores, but we would appreciate you making a “to do” list for each of our beers at these sites: -

And on your smartphone this is a fun application to track and rate what you drink:

You Can Take CalTrain to the Brewery!

image022For those of you who want to avoid driving all-together, the brewery is a 10 minute walk from the Belmont the CalTrain station!

 We encourage you to consider using public transportation whenever possible.

Be Smart, Be Safe!

Food will be for sale from Just Eat It!

image025Just Eat It is a couple of girls from San Francisco who love to feed people.  We focus on sustainability in everything that we do.  We believe that food should secretly be good for you while tasting really good.  Even vegan food should rock, not just be "good for vegan food".

This month we're channeling the Scots. In our tent you'll find Shepard's pie and vegan Shepard's pie, colcannon and something green, because vegetables are good!

Not to be missed...Scotch Ale chocolate truffles made with Devil's Canyon Full Boar Scotch Ale.  Because what can't Scotch Ale make better?
